Note: MPV Player Keyboard Shortcuts

This morning I wanted to keep the player window always on top, but I didn’t know the shortcut. So I searched for an MPV tutorial, found a good post, and noted it down.

Some common shortcuts I didn’t know:

• Shift T toggle video window on top
• V show/hide subtitles
• J next subtitle
• Z / X decrease/increase subtitle delay
• O show progress
• Shift + left/right arrow: exact seek by 1 second
• < and > move backward/forward in the playlist
• Enter move forward in the playlist
• L A-B loop
• # cycle through the available audio tracks
• [ / ] decrease/increase speed
